Ms. Nargiza Kilichova is a Visiting Research Fellow of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) at the Institute for European Integration from August through October of 2015.
Ms. Kilichova is currently enrolled in a Master’s program at Willy Brandt School of Public Policy at the University of Erfurt, where her research focus is on European Union Policy. Prior to that, she attended the Master’s Program in European and International Law at the Europa-Institut of Saarland University and holds a B.A. in Commercial Law from Westminster International University in Tashkent.
At Europa-Kolleg Hamburg, Nargiza Kilichova will work on a research project entitled: “Competition Policy implications in cross-border merger transactions”. In her research, she will analyze the competition regulations of the EU and its most significant economic partner, the United States. She will suggest possible solutions for further cooperation in the area of competition law and foreign direct investment. In particular, the research will focus on current legal tools employed by European Union institutions and those in the US in an attempt to explore similarities and discrepancies in competition regulations, as well as ways for decreasing these divergences within competition requirements.
