The subject of this work is the state of harmonization of Czech company law as of 1. May 2004. The development in the period between the signing of the Europe Agreement and the accession to the EU is presented. The basis of this analysis are in particular the First, the Second and the Twelfth Company Law Directives.
The results of the analysis show that Czech company law does not fully comply with the Directive requirements in the areas considered.
The work therefore contains suggestions for amending the norms that have so far not been in conformity with the Directives.
