A new volume entitled “Big Data and The Abuse of Dominance by Multi-Sided Platforms” has just been published in the EUROPA-KOLLEG HAMBURG series on Integration Research by Nomos Verlag. It is the dissertation paper of Dr. Noby Thomas Cyriac.

Mr. Cyriac’s dissertation examines the extent to which EU law can protect companies and citizens from abusive behavior by multinational corporations. The background to the dispute is the development of digital markets, which has produced a dominant competitive position of large IT companies such as Facebook. In addition, the former PhD student discusses the existence of a digital data market.

Noby Cyriac is a 2017 graduate of the Master Program in European and European Legal Studies and currently works as a lawyer in the field of business and commercial law.
