2016_12_Soziales Europa 6-page-001On December 1st 2016, Europa-Kolleg Hamburg in cooperation with Info-Point Europe holds a panel discussion under the title “Social Europe – How to continue profiting from the EU in the future”. Against the backdrop of the public consultation on the “European Pillar for Social Rights”, the question whether a revised social and employment policy with fair job markets and distinct welfare systems could pave the way for a strong economic and monetary union, will be adressed.

Following a short introduction by Prof. em. Dr. Udo Mayer, holder of the Jean-Monnet-Chair for European labor and social law at the University of Hamburg, the topic will be discussed by Dr. Susanne Uhl, manager of DGB Schleswig-Holstein/Nordwest, Linn Selle, Europäische Bewegung Deutschland and laureate of “Women of Europe” and Gunther Bonz, president of the UVHH, employers’ association of the harbor in Hamburg e. V. The event will be moderated by NDR-Info editor Kathrin Schmid.
