Goran Dominioni started his research residence on the 5th of September as the first fellow receiving the Transatlantic Research Fellowship. His research focuses on carbon dioxide trade in the context of transatlantic relations. The other fellows will start their research projects, when they arrive in September and October. The Transatlantic Fellows are going to conduct their research in one of the conference’s three focus areas Trade and Investment, Peace and Security and Environment and Climate. The research fellowships were awarded in cooperation with the Federal Chancellor Helmut Schmidt Foundation and funded by the Hamburg Parliament.

The research findings will be presented in colloquium and seminar settings and published in a series of Discussion Papers and in an external scientific journal. The research fellows will participate in and contribute to the conference.

The international conference with the title The Future of Transatlantic Relations: Challenges in Trade, Security and Environmental Policy (Fotar2018) will provide a forum for debate about the future of transatlantic relations. High-level officials from the areas of politics, society and the business community will exchange their views in a panel setting.
