The new cohort of the Master’s program “European and European Legal Studies” (MEELS) started their studies at Europa-Kolleg Hamburg in September. The reason for the early start of studies this year is a combination of some of the courses of the new MEELS class with the newly launched program European and International Law (MEIL). The latter provides in-depth knowledge in the field of international and European law.
The introductory event for the start of the winter semester 2022/2023 already took place on September 5. As usual, the new students were welcomed by the head of the program, Prof. Dr. Markus Kotzur. The head of the study program expects positive effects from the merging of the courses: “The new MEELS students will certainly benefit from synergies.”
The 14 new MEELS students come from eight different countries of origin: Afghanistan, China, France, Germany, Georgia, Serbia, Turkey and the United States.
