Barbora Kralickova is a Visiting Research Fellow at the Institute for European Integration and will stay through May 2016. Her research is financed by a grant of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).

Ms. Kralickova is a Deputy Director at the Institute for State and Law, Slovak Academy of Sciences, Slovakia. She holds a PhD. in Law, Trnava University, Slovakia. She is a member of various international societies dealing with questions related to competition law and intellectual property law, such as ASCOLA (Academic Society for Competition Law) and ALAI (Association Littéraire et Artistique Internationale – International literary and artistic association). Within her scientific work she focuses especially on the field of competition law, intellectual property law and cross-sectional issues of application of competition law.

At the Europa-Kolleg Hamburg, Ms. Kralickova is working on a research project entitled “Approximation of Competition Rules of New and Future Member States to European Union Law – Report Slovakia”. The research focuses on the basis as well as on selected problems and questions which arose in the application of European competition rules and the need for an adjustment of Slovak competition legislation to EU requirements. The aim of the research project is to examine the approximation and application of competition law in the Slovak Republic since it became a member of the European Union in 2004.
