On 13 September 2013 the main celebratory event for the 60th anniversary of the Europa-Kolleg Hamburg took place at the City Hall of Hamburg.
Olaf Scholz, First Mayor of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg, and Jürgen Lüthje, President of the Europa-Kollegs welcomed the audience. The main speech was given by Martin Schulz, President of the European Parliament.
