On Friday, January 28, 2022, the graduation ceremony of the Master’s Programme in European and European Legal Studies took place in a hybrid format. Some of the students received their diplomas on site from the program director Prof. Dr. Markus Kotzur, some other students participated in the ceremony virtually.

The graduation ceremony for the class of 2021 was unfortunately marked by the Covid-19 pandemic, as had also been the case during for the entire course of studies. In his speech, Thomas Roselius summarized the challenges of studying under difficult conditions on behalf of the class. That it turned out to be such an instructive, exciting and, above all, successful year was thanks to the teachers, the study coordination and, of course, above all, the resilience of the students. Priscilla Souza did so particularly well, and therefore was granted the award for the best graduating student of the year presented by the Edmund Siemers Foundation.

And thus the newly graduated alumni did not have their good mood spoiled – even if regrettably they had to forego a reception following the awarding of diplomas.
