During the the upcoming semester Konrad Lammers, Research Director at the Institute for European Integration, will hold a lecture series on the topic of „European Spatial Development and Structural Policies“ as part of the „European Master in Territorial Development“ at Leibniz University of Hannover.

Contents of the lecture are:

  • the development of the European Union, European institutions, Tasks and responsibilities of the institutions of the European Union
  • European spatial planning policy: Competences of the EU and its member states, evolution and goals, European spatial planning concept, “Territorial Agenda 2020”
  • Goals of the EU’s structural policies, phases of development in EU’s structural policies, priorities and instruments for funding, spatial context of EU structural policy, “Lisbon-strategy”, “Europe 2020”
