On January 27th and 28th, the students of our Master Programme European and European Legal Studies (MEELS) took part in a study trip to Berlin. The programme included the participation in a seminar on career opportunities and application procedures in international organisations, as well as a visit to the career fair at the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Together with the Fellows of our partner programme European Studies in Berlin, the students participated on Friday in a seminar on selection and assessment procedures in international organisations and on the particularities of the EU concours. Ulrike Seibel, expert for living and working in an international context, presented the most common selection procedures, eligibility criteria and typical exam components of assessment tests to the participants.

On Saturday, the group visited the Career Fair International Organisations at the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Here, more than 35 organisations and European institutions ranging from the International Organisation for Migration (IOM), the African Development Bank (AfDB) and the UN High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR) to the European Space Agency (ESA) presented themselves and answered questions of our students regarding employment and career opportunities.
