The Europa-Kolleg Hamburg honors the long tenure of President Hans- Joachim Seeler with a special 80th birthday present. The lecture halls of the Europa-Kolleg Institute for European Integration would be named after him, “Hans Joachim Seeler Lecture Halls”. This honorary gesture of the Board of Directors to the Europa-Kolleg recognizes the voluntary efforts of Professor Seeler towards the Europa-Kolleg from the years 1987 to 2006.
